Hot yoga is a Hatha yoga style class, practised in a heated studio (33-36 degrees C). The heat allows your body to stretch more deeply and make the muscles less prone to injury, The heat also increases the work out for your body, strengthening your muscles and focusing your mind. Hot yoga classes are based on the Jimmy Barkan method of using a combination of different poses and variations of poses during class to keep things interesting and fresh. You do not have to be naturally flexible to join a yoga class,in fact, the less flexible you are the more you need some yoga!
